There are no technical entry requirements for the Beginner classes or the Beginner/Mixed classes at Guildford, but I expect students in the Improver/Intermediate class to have a basic understanding of the art form, and to have done a minimum of 2 Beginner terms with me before moving up, or to have a similar level of experience with another teacher.  If you are not sure which level to go for, click here for guidance.

Classwear is very relaxed. Wear something comfortable that you can move in- most students wear a long skirt, jazz/yoga-pants or leggings with a T-shirt, and a scarf to tie around their hips.  Bare midriffs are welcome but not compulsory! We usually dance in bare feet, but if you don't feel comfortable that way, then soft soled dance shoes (eg ballet slippers or jazz shoes) would be fine.
